City of Strawn will hold a week long city wide cleanup at the end of April 2023.  This will involve up to 20 roll off trash dumpsters and a tire disposal trailer.  City personnel will be onsite to help with unloading.  These dumpsters will be located at our transfer station at 524 Palo Pinto Avenue adjacent to our waste water treatement plant.  We will accept all household garbage, construction materials and tires.  You must be a Strawn resident to participate in this event.  Please bring a copy of your water bill.  This is a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality mandated Supplemental Environmental Project funded by City of Strawn in lieu of fines.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Strawn, Texas will hold a Planning Workshop to discuss its Texas Community Development Program Contract #7220154 with the Office of Rural Affairs, Texas Department of Agriculture in which funds were used to develop a comprehensive plan for the city. The planning activities included mapping and text along with goals and objectives in the areas of financial analysis, housing, population, land use, street system, water system, wastewater system, storm drainage system, subdivision regulations and zoning. The company that is awarded the franchise service agreement will be required to provide weekly residential service and bi-weekly commercial service. Strawn City Wide Cleanup will be held on Saturday October 22nd, 2022 at the transfer station.  This is located adjacent to the sewer plant on Palo Pinto Avenue.  We will be open from 8 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or until the dumpsters are full, whichever comes first.  We are accepting household trash and brushy materials such as tree limbs and leaves.  We cannot accept hazardous chemicals or tires.  This clean up is partly funded through the T.C.E.Q. Seperate Environmental Plan project via the Leon Bosque RC&D.  Clean up is open to all Strawn residents.

solicitud al Departamento de Agricultura de Texas para la liberación de fondos del Programa de

CERTIFICACIÓN AMBIENTAL
La Ciudad de Strawn certifica al Estado de Texas que Omer Mallory, en su calidad de Alcalde,
consiente en aceptar la jurisdicción de los Tribunales Federales si se inicia una acción para
hacer cumplir las responsabilidades en relación con el proceso de revisión ambiental y que
estas responsabilidades han sido satisfecho. La aprobación de la certificación por parte del
Estado satisface sus responsabilidades conforme a la NEPA y las leyes y autoridades
relacionadas, y permite que la Ciudad de Strawn utilice los fondos del Programa.
OBJECIONES A LA LIBERACIÓN DE FONDOS
El Estado aceptará objeciones a su liberación de fondos y la certificación de la Ciudad de
Strawn por un período de quince días a partir de la fecha de presentación anticipada o de la
recepción real de la solicitud (lo que ocurra más tarde) solo si están en una de las siguientes
bases: (a) la certificación no fue ejecutada por el Oficial de Certificación de la Ciudad de Strawn
(b) la Ciudad de Strawn omitió un paso o no tomó una decisión o hallazgo requerido por las
regulaciones de HUD en 24 CFR parte 58 ; (c) el beneficiario de la subvención u otros
participantes en el proceso de desarrollo han comprometido fondos, incurrido en costos o
realizado actividades no autorizadas por 24 CFR Parte 58 antes de la aprobación de una
liberación de fondos por parte del Estado; o (d) otra agencia federal que actúa de conformidad
con 40 CFR Parte 1504 ha presentado una conclusión por escrito de que el proyecto no es
