We will be holding our Fall Star Party at Palo Pinto Mountains State Park (PPMSP) on Saturday, October 6th beginning at 4:00 pm. PPMSP is new TPWD park property near the town of Strawn, Texas which serves as the gateway to the newly acquired state park property. The park is relatively undeveloped, however there are roads and a parking area near our observing site. The skies are extremely dark. This event is open to the public. Volunteers will be there with a variety of telescopes and binoculars for observing the night sky. No generators will be permitted. Palo Pinto Mountains State Park Partners will be kicking off their membership drive. They will be serving free hotdogs. Come out and show your support for the park.
